Snatch n' Drag

Bob and Sheri wrapped up the week by tossing out turkeys to our listeners as we played our favorite song "Surfing Bird". Lamar gave five pints of blood to the last chapter of Twilight.  Jim Szoke dropped by to talk about the sale of the Silverdome to Canadian investors for only five hundred thousand dollars.  In the chatroom we let the callers take over with whatever they wanted to talk about.  Toni checked to talk about how her husband was caught on film cheating on his boat "Snatch n' Grab".

Lamar reviews - The Twilight Saga: New Moon

I have to say when I saw the first one I was with my then 14 year old daughter Alex and we had a great time. We were in a theater full of 12-16 year old girls and a bunch of Moms. The excitement was infectious. The movie was interesting and pretty fast paced. This one not so much. I didn’t dislike it but it was a little slow paced for me. The first one I could hang with the 14 year old girls, this one, let’s just say separates the 14 year girls from the grown ass old men! Girls and Moms will love it, Carla went with us and she really liked it. This one gets a little too much into teenage romance for me. Keep in mind that’s who it’s written for, I’m just an outsider being allowed in. We had tried to get 13 year old Gabriel to go, we actually begged him to. He said if anybody found out he went to that he would have to change schools. 20 minutes into I&rsquo

I enjoy your 'morons in the news' segment every morning on my way to work, and I wanted to politely correct an assumption you made this morning. Not everyone who works at a library is a librarian, just as not everyone who works in a hospital is a doctor, nor is everyone who works at a radio station an announcer or radio personality. Something to think about...

Sheri: I heard the show this morning about single parenthood and I have to give Kudos to you for saying what so many of us want to say and won't! I'm a single mother and I LOVE the time I spend with my kids AND I love the time I get to spend alone. Yes, I miss my kids when they aren't here, but at the same time I get a much needed break and it keeps me sane and appreciative of my kids and we love each other more. Additionally, I have to say that I completely understand about there not being anyone demanding on your time other than the kids. Like you, I load them up and we go where ever we want when we want and love it. While I am in another relationship, he isn't here unless I want him here and that way I can still squeeze in some "me" time, some kid time, and some couple time, but never at the same time. I love that I don't have to stress and balance everyone's emotions at the same time, including my own. Men are sometimes just as needy, if not more, than kids!

Hi Sheri. I don't get to listen much but I heard the show this morning and in particular, the debate on single parenthood. You both seemed to enjoy this aspect, probably you moreso than Bob. But at the same time, you acknowledge being in a relationship with another man now. How does this work? what is the difference in the boyfriend and the husband in regards to your time and energy with the kids? Maybe this was addressed, but I didn't get to listen to the entire show. As I rarely get to listen, I hope that if you do see this you can post an answer. Thanks. You guys are great.

Hi Bob and Sheri, Here's an answer to your question about a judge allowing Miss California's sex video to be shown: I believe Sheri mentioned that Miss CA was being deposed at the time. A deposition is not held in a courtroom, and there is neither a judge nor a jury present. It is part of the discovery process in a case: the gathering of evidence that may or may not be used at trial. It is usually held in the office of the attorney who is taking the deposition. There are usually only a few people present: Attorneys for each party; the deponent; the opposing party or parties; and a court reporter. I guess the deponent can bring moral support too, like one's mother. Boy, was that a mistake! I hope this helps clear up the confusion.
